 GIVE US THE BALLOT: The Fight for 2016. On the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, the continuing battle over the right to vote still helps define the US electoral system. Voting rights and race, more broadly, will provide a critical backdrop to Election 2016 as well as the enormous power of money to influence elections. Join a conversation about modern-day politics and Election 2016 with Ari Berman (Give Us the Ballot), Joy Reid (Fracture: Barack Obama, the Clintons, and the Racial Divide), and Zephyr Teachout (Corruption In America). Moderator TBD.The festival program will be followed by a book signing.
